Goals for 2010

1. Ride 50+ miles a week

2. Study at least 3 hours a day, quality studying time

3. Finish a book every 2 weeks

4. Eat healthier, and more greens and organics

5. Exercise, exercise, exercise

6. Get straight A’s

7. Visit Luann at least once a month if I can

8. Drive as little as possible, biking/walking more

to be continued when I can think of some more goals. I am sure I can make all of it possible because I’ll have so much time. With Luann moving to Portland, I’ll have so much time to myself that I need to keep myself occupied and this is a good start.

Growing Up

All my childhood, I was always taught that having money would equal happiness. I do agree to an extent, but money isn’t everything. Before I would always strive to have what I thought would be the nicest things and to do everything to make that money. When I was 16, I was getting paid 1000/month to work and this to a high school kid was so much. At the age of 18, I got a job at Nordstroms in South Coast, pulling in 3000 a month. This was crazy. I would go crazy over my new found wealth. For a while now everyone in the family has taught that if you don’t have money you won’t be happy. This is only like 5% true. I have learned that money brings along problems, mo money mo problems right. I always dreamed of having that mansion on some island with lavish cars and all the nicest things. That’s what I thought would bring me happiness. I only realized this not to long ago, that that whole lifestyle isn’t for me. Of course I’d love the cars because I am such a car enthusiast but it doesnt really matter to me. I want to make enough so I don’t have to worry about anything. My picture perfect life is to have a decent home, my subaru wagon with a bike/snowboard rack, my shiba inu and of course Luann with me. I’ve found out that there are so many wonderful things to do that don’t cost an arm and a leg. One of my favorite spots to go to is the Griffith Observatory in LA. Its free, bring lunch to eat on their lawn and just stare off into the horizon. I love exploring Art walks and just taking it all in. Bicycling has become a new love of mine and just biking around the city or beach is a perfect day to me. I guess I’ve grown out of that idea that money makes the world go round, I make my world go round. Money is nice but it isn’t everything. Don’t get lost looking for it cause you’ll miss all the things that can make you happy
